'Dementia is a serious, progressive and life-limiting condition and VAD is a complex and challenging issue,' it stated. 'And that autonomy can only happen when you have the capacity to make decisions.'Īccording to its VAD position statement, Dementia Australia 'supports the right of every person, including those living with dementia, to exercise choice over end-of-life care options, which may include VAD measures.'
